Earlier this year, Jian Feng of northern China had a child with his wife. When he first saw the baby, he was alarmed at how ugly it looked. Because it didn’t look like Feng or his wife, Feng accused his wife of cheating on him. She adamantly denied that she had had an affair, and eventually confessed that prior to getting married, she had spent over $100,000 in plastic surgery expenses.

Outraged, Feng filed for divorce and demanded damages. His claim was that she had induced him to marry under false pretenses. The court agreed and awarded him $120,000 in damages.
